What A Marvel Comic Star Did For A Little Boy Proves That Superheroes ARE Real

What A Marvel Comic Star Did For A Little Boy Proves That Superheroes ARE Real
Don't think superheroes are real? Think again.
Seven-year-old Alex loves superheroes like most other kids his age. However, unlike other kids, Alex was born with a disabled right arm, which impedes his activities on occasion. Fortunately, he recently received a prosthetic, and it arrived in pretty much the coolest way possible.
You could say Alex's new prosthetic is pretty super.
Alex's prosthetic was designed and created by Albert Manero, an engineering student and founder of Limbitless Solutions. Albert's company provides 3D-printed bionic limbs free of charge to children around the world. In Alex's case, they got an impressive "consultant" to help Alex get acquainted with his new arm.

Well, whaddya know...Tony Stark showed up to give Alex his new bionic arm!

Robert Downey, Jr. (who plays Tony Stark a.k.a., Iron Man, in the Marvel movies) joined Manero and his team to deliver the arm to Alex. The prosthetic was modeled after the Iron Man armor.
Alex is a little starstruck at first, as you'll see in the video, but soon, the two "bionics experts" are fist-bumping. For his part, RDJ maintains a humorously deadpan performance.

Oh, don't mind me. I'm just crying over how awesome this is.

3D printing technology allows for custom limbs like Alex's to be produced cheaply and easily. Manero hopes to be able to provide these limbs to as many children as possible. Limbitless Solutions' goal is "to create a world without limits, where everyone has access to the tools necessary to manufacture simple, affordable, and accessible solutions through open source design and 3D printing." If you'd like to donate to their cause, you can do so on their website.
