He Found This Horse Dying In The Cold...What He Did Will Amaze You
The weather in the Northern Hemisphere during the winter is nothing short of brutal. Cold winds, piercing rain, and snow can take a toll on infrastructure, let alone animals living outside. Which is why no living thing should be left out in the bitter, winter cold.
But that's just what these horses were subjected to. Luckily, though, one mare and her baby were rescued just in time. Who knows what would have happened if they were out there for just a few more hours...

A very concerned neighbor made an emergency call when she noticed the neglected creatures literally shivering to death.

A veterinarian arrived on the scene and feared that Macy's heartbeat was too weak to be revived...

But hope was not completely lost.

After having their vital needs met at the vet, Macy and her baby, Loca, were brought to Hall Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Norfolk, U.K.

Here, the two slowly and steadily recovered from their malnourishment, skin abrasions from the cold weather, and depression.

Finally they had a warm, safe place to sleep.

Six months later, Macy is as good as new.

And Loca is too!

Not a rib or hip bone in sight.

David Boyd of World Horse Welfare tells their full story:

Thank goodness for the people at World Horse Welfare for giving sweethearts like Macy and Loca a second chance at life. They take the time to nurse horses in need back to health. If you'd like to help their cause out, you can donate here. Keep up with their organization on Facebook, too.
